Driving the Prius through a piece of history.

  • Gizzy takes a tour in the Redwoods with us. First stop: Paul Bunion and Babe.
  • The girls and John pose with 'ol Paul. I've been through before, but had no idea that the statue not only moved, but also has a speaker in it for the operator to speak through. It winks and waves while the announcer talks to kids in the parking lot as the huge giant, making everyone smile.

  • We found an emu.
  • Evidently during the war, the military posted these radar buildings disguised as farmhouses along the coast. They were a great source of interest to us as we wandered down the trail and observed their fake farmhouse construction.
